State of Minnesota Recognizes Osseo!

Our very own Carole Larson and Bill Schreiber – Committee Chair and Committee Member of the Osseo 150th Celebration Planning Committee, respectively – were recognized on the floor at the MN State Capitol on April 10th, 2025 for their ongoing work on Osseo’s 150th Celebration.

District 38A Representative Huldah Momanyi Hiltsley introduced Carole and Bill as well as Osseo Senior High Principal, Sara Vernig, who was also in attendance. Osseo Senior High is celebrating 100 years!

Bill Schreiber was additionally recognized, and received a standing ovation, for his long service in the Minnesota Legislature. He served Minnesotans at the State Capitol from 1973-1976 and 1979-1992.

Congratulations to Bill, Carole and Sara and THANK YOU to Representative Huldah Momanyi Hiltsley for celebrating Osseo!

About the Sesquicentennial

The sesquicentennial is a celebration of Osseo’s 150th anniversary of incorporation. Though the actual anniversary date is in March 2025, we’ll be celebrating throughout 2025, culminating in our biggest events during Lions Roar in September 2025.

Join in the Fun!

There are many ways to get involved in the sesquicentennial. You may volunteer for events, join planning committees, or simply enjoy the family-friendly activities. We’re always looking for dedicated residents, friends, and neighbors to help make Osseo’s celebration the biggest in history.
