On Thursday, January 30, 2025, we held the first of many family-friendly activities celebrating Osseo’s 150th Anniversary. Our Birthday Cake Baking Contest was open to the public and allowed people to showcase their talents. Winners will be featured in our commemorative publication.

Entries were judged by Mayor Duane Poppe, City Council members Mark Schulz, Nick Torres, and Juliana Hultstrom, and local entrepreneur and founder of Lillian’s Cottage Kreations, Lillian Troska. Cakes were judged in two age divisions (15 and under; adult), with judging criteria being taste, presentation, attention to detail, and adherence to an Osseo theme.
